We currently run four schemes
• Communications (2003)
• Energy (2006)
• Property (2007)
• Copyright Licensing (2009)
We expect to deal with more than 250,000 queries per year, which will lead to us accepting about 25,000 complaints. We are a not-for-profit private company, limited by guarantee.
Our service is free to use for consumers. Our decisions are binding on the companies we handle complaints about. On average, over a third of consumers
said that their confidence in dealing with the company had increased after dealing with Ombudsman Services
